E queste cose saranno stabilite per bocca di tre testimoni--"And these things will be established by the mouth of three witnesses"

" And in the mouth of three witnesses shall these things be established; and the testimony of three, and this work, in the which shall be shown forth the power of God and also his word, of which the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost bear record—and all this shall stand as a testimony against the world at the last day."-Ether 5:4

My companions and I read that verse during weekly planning and cracked up. Better than the three amigos or three musketeers, we are. But all laughter aside, it is true that we get to be three special witnesses of Christ and his restored gospel for this little moment in our lives and that is an incredible and powerful thing. I am so very blessed to have my two lovely companions. We get along splendidly and I love working with them. Three's company for sure! Sorella Walton has been  in Italy for about a year, has served in Milano, Torino, and Varese, plays the violin and piano, will be an elementary school teacher, and is one of the most loving, serving people I have ever met. Sorella Forbes is of Scottish ancestry, has served in Cuneo, speaks great Italian for so little time here, studied art history, which is awesome, and loves hip hop. She is also incredibly good at finding and being persistent. ci siamo divertite. From the beginning of our time together each moment has been peppered with laughter, love, and miracles. Thursday we got stuck at the traing station in the rain and hail with 6 pieces of luggage, pumpkin seeds, and a few chocolate chip cookies. We LOVED it! It has been raining here for days and we have enjoyed every bit of it. We went to the bus stop Sunday afternoon and it started raining so hard the sidewalk was instantly flooded. As we ran home jumping over deep puddles and right into the more shallow ones, trying to avoid the river in the street, clutching umbrellas slightly carelessly because we were too preoccupied with everything else, we arrived well-soaked, amazed, and more than a little amused. I love that we can still laugh together when to anyone else such things would seem more than unpleasant. I love it. The sun came out today and we have had a beautiful time on our newly fixed bicycles. Sorella Walton didn't have lights or breaks for a few days, so we are grateful to be obeying the law and staying safe now. Saturday there was a baptism for two kids in the military ward and they invited us to come because both families had invited many non-members. We had the opportunity to talk to both Italians and Americans who had not experienced something like that before and we hope to set up appointments with two of the people we talked to and the families that invited  them. It was a special experience and a very special spirit and many were touched.  The Durrazzani's stopped us in the street Saturday night right after we had an appointment cancel and invited us to dinner with them and Janae who just arrived from the states. We had a marvelous time with good food and an even better spirit, sharing the blessings of obedience to the laws of God and the blessings we see daily. It was a little miracle for us, besides, salmon cooked on a fire is mighty tasty. Sunday, Janae, who is a returned missionary and very awesome, helped us teach Michael and Richard who came to church for the second time, and then she helped us again with their lesson yesterday and we set a baptismal date with Michael. Miraculous? Yes. Today we went to the Giurintano's to celebrate the Italian Liberation (I think) and teach Pierino a lesson. It was terrific fun, the bike ride was stunning, and the food was delicious. We ate gnocchi, two kinds of salsiccia, bistecca, and chicken, the meat was all done over charcoal, and we had panelle of ceci flour, which are a delicious Sicilian delight. Then they cooked potatoes in the cinders and embers as well as a few whole eggs. We had a marvelous time and as usual, ate far too much. If you are ever in Italy don't go to a Grigliata unless you have a tremendous appetite. They WILL feed you. As much as THEY think you should eat. Pierino will be baptized May fifth by his uncle Antonio, which is a very exciting thing for an 8 year old, and for all of us. Massimiliano, il bravissimo ragazzo, will be baptized on Saturday if everything goes as planned! It is amazing and miraculous and we are so happy! I am so excited for him! I love seeing the lives of people change not just for the better, but for the best and forever. It is so tremendously beautiful. We had a really neat experience during weekly planning and goal setting. This transfer we really want to focus on finding families to fill our beautiful new chapel and building love for those we teach and among the members. There is a story in the new testament of a woman who washes and anoints Jesus' feet with her tears and Christ says she had had much to be forgiven and because of that she loved much and gave much. It is by applying the atonement in our lives and repenting daily that we learn to be charitable, that we understand better what real love and true sacrifices are. We want to understand better the atonement and then help others do the same so that we strengthen each other in love and can share the love of God with others. Our theme is "For they loved much." I am very excited for the opportunity to learn and grow with my companions and to become more like my savior. It is something we can all do a little better each day, just love a little bit more, and show it a little bit better. i know He loves you too! I love you all so much and will talk to you soon!
